Strategic Articulation is a self-paced strategic visioning program for CEOs and management teams. The 4-step process begins with your firm answering questions about your markets, products, customers, and competitors. These answers provide a baseline as we dig into the core of Strategic Articulation, how Six Building Blocks of Strategy affect your firm. Each Building Block is a 5 - 40 minute presentation targeting key dimensions of business strategy. A series of take-away questions accompanies each segment to probe how each Building Block applies to your specific situation. The third and fourth steps capture your strategy for growth, which is used to build an execution roadmap to get everybody on the same page and moving forward in the same direction.

Overview
We start out at 50,000 feet looking at the big picture by understanding the real meaning behind the term “competitive advantage” and describing how five competitive forces affect all companies. We then zero in on the power behind big ideas and the formation of strategic principles and take a look at innovation and risk. This sets the stage to examine the life cycle of products and services as they evolve in the marketplace. Value innovation teaches us how to define and position a product so competition becomes irrelevant. We wrap up by delving into the art and science of picking markets that matter.
At the completion of this program you and your management team will be able to succinctly and confidently communicate the vision of your firm, where you are heading and why that is important, and how you are going to get there.
